Chris Horn

Patrol Detective Chris Horn brings a wealth of experience and a calm, capable presence to the Sunrise Beach Police Department. A military veteran and graduate of the Missouri Department of Conservation Academy (2016). Chris has served in multiple public safety roles, including with the Missouri Attorney General’s Office and the Columbia Police Department, before joining the team in Sunrise Beach.

He holds certifications as a Human Trafficking Investigator through the McAfee Institute and has completed extensive specialized training in sex crimes, human trafficking, special victims crimes, and crimes against children.

Chris takes pride in being thorough, professional, and mission-focused in every role he takes on. Whether he’s assisting a victim, supporting an investigation, or just spending time connecting with the community, he’s committed to serving with integrity and care. 

Off duty, you’ll likely find him hanging out with his kids, firing up the grill, or getting way too excited about cold weather.
